Elio — Terms of Use

1. Acceptance
By using Elio you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 18 years old to use Elio.
2. The service
Elio provides a fictional AI companion for entertainment and emotional reflection. The companion is not a real person. Replies are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate. Elio is not a medical, psychological, legal, financial, or crisis service and is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in distress or crisis, contact a qualified professional or a local emergency number / helpline.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Elio to create, request, or solicit content that is illegal, that sexualizes minors, or that promotes self-harm or violence toward others. We apply automated safeguards and may remove content or restrict access to enforce this.
4. User-generated & AI-generated content
You are responsible for what you type. AI-generated replies and images are produced automatically; you can report objectionable content from within the app (touch and hold a message). We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any purpose.
5. Subscriptions & purchases
Elio offers an auto-renewable subscription (Elio Premium) and consumable in-app purchases (gems). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically for the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Consumable gems are not refundable except as required by law.
6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Elio is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
7. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your data at any time via Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend access for violations of these Terms.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
